You could hear the accordion playing as soon as entered the parking lot! Many were in full Oktoberfest regalia. Me? I had my lovely German Style Felt Party hat on. Our favorite bartenders were there! Danielle, Ryan, James and all kept the beer flowing, while Andrew and Tyler kept on top of the glass demands. Brew Master Joe made sure the keg pressure was "just right" so we could all continue drinking. Options were Amber, Pilsner, Oatmeal Stout, Hefeweizen and, of course, the piece de resistance, Oktoberfest (alcohol content: 6.5)! I had 1, hubby had 3 and we munched on some freshly made bavarian pretzels with spicy mustard.
Then, much to our surprise, the staff and some of our new "bar neighbors" surprised my better half with the most loud and gracious rendition of "Happy Birthday" they could belt out in their current state. A nice piece of flourless chocolate cake topped by a pink candle completed the celebration! We headed home somewhat early since I had to get some much needed rest for the Westchester Triathlon, the next day. Will be sure to keep you all updated on that in another post. Well, that concludes Peter's birthday celebration trifecta...thanks for following along and for all your well wishes!
Blessings to all!
Kimbo
