Dinner at Amarelle, Birthday Part 2

Ok gang...so we just got back from Amarelle.  Dinner was phenomenal!  Chef Lia made magic with her littleneck clams (we all had them); the Amuse bouche was an awesome seafood salad with lobster and scallops and some form of microgreen/blossom (will need to ask what kind).  We all started with cocktails (Amarelle Sunset - a nice concoction from our favorite bartender, Michael, Jack and Coke and Captain and Coke) and had dinner with a nice Misterio Malbec (highly recommended for those of you that, like me, believe wine should be a food group and count as a fruit serving).  Dinner selections consisted of duck, aged beef, seared tuna, and gnocchi (all absolutely de-lish) but not to outdone by the dessert selections (pannacotta, figs, profiteroles) accompanied by Chef Lia's birthday treat of champagne....yes, she is too generous.  Gail Storm completed the ambiance with her stylish music selections and her sultry vocals.  We are now heading out for Birthday, Part 3.

More later....
