Tarte Glow Your Way to Gorgeous Set #2

It all started with an e-mail from QVC.com that my auto-shipment of Tarte's Glow Your Way to Gorgeous Set was on its way to me.  My first thought was, oh no!  I haven't even finished the first one and they're sending me more items?  Are they the same?  Well, I am happy to report that the shipment was not the identical shipment of Set #1 with the exception of the mascara, sharpener, and concealer, which were the same as the last time.

The set comes in a vinyl clear case that is trimmed in pink (perhaps as a reminder of Breast Cancer Awareness month), with a coral reef type pattern in Tarte's signature purple.  The zipper closure is a lovely golden shell.

The complete set includes:

1. Maracuja creaseless concealer
2. Amazonian Clay 12-Hour Blush in Charisma
3. Amazonian Clay Cream Shadow emphasEYES in Shimmering Moss
4. smolderEYES Amazonian Clay Waterproof Liner in Charcoal
5. Lights, Camera, Lashes! Mascara
6. LipSurgence Lip Luster in Delighted
7. Concealer brush
8. Double-ended Powder Brush
9. Sharpener

I was happy to see that the shades in this kit go very well together and are somewhat seasonal offering deeper eye, cheek, and lip shades than kit #1.

The shadow is a lovely metallic mossy green which again is very easy to apply and budge-proof. The charcoal liner glides on well, sets quickly and smudges nicely with the smudger end, as long as you don't wait too long.

The blush is a lovely apricot pink which looks more shimmery in the pan than it does applied.  Lastly, the lip pencil is more of a rosey pink than Sweet which was slightly lighter.

The concealer brush is wonderful and lends itself to nice even application of the product.  The double-ended brush has an angled head which I prefer to the blush brush that was included in Kit #1.  The other end has a soft blending brush which is nice for applying a blended color in the crease and transitioning upwards on the eyelid.  I am not a fan of double-ended brushes as they are difficult to store, I do like both of these brush ends.

The booklet that's included has "Get the Look" instructions.

Anyone would be happy to have this kit all by itself though I must say, that the shimmering taupe from Kit #1 goes nicely with shimmering moss from this kit, lending to more versatility.  Again the set cost the same as set #1, $49.92 which is about the cost of the blush and lip pencil alone.

For those of you that do not own any of the Amazonian clay blushes, you should note that these blushes are easy to depot as they have a little indentation in the back where you can insert the tip of a large paper clip or safety pin and gently push it up.  I have been storing mine in a large Z palette which is already magnetized so I just pop them in.  Don't throw the compact away though as you can easily transfer it back in and carry it in your purse for travel.  No need to carry it for touch-ups though....this blush has staying power.

    1. Thanks, Kristi. It's a great set. I also recommend the Journey to Natural Beauty set. It's available on QVC as a TSV. I preordered mine so I'll review as soon as it arrives. Just thought you'd want to know about it. Enjoy!
